The Elementor team announced a new beta version, Elementor Pro v3.4 that is expanding eCommerce capabilities, improving design options and updates to existing widgets.
- WooCommerce revamped Menu Cart widget
- WooCommerce Dynamic Tags
- AJAX Load More
- Form widget improvements
- Vimeo to Video Playlist widget
The next version of Elementor has a revamped WooCommerce Menu Cart Widget and the new ability to use product content on any page (including title, image, description, price, and more).
Also, this version focuses on the addition of Load More functionality, Form widget improvements, as well as adding Vimeo to the Playlist widget.
The Elementor team also made major performance improvements and reduced JS files size on each page load by up to 110KB.
AJAX Load More
One of the new features I’m particularly excited about is a new ability to have a ‘load more’ button that loads new posts via AJAX, which means more content will load without having to reload the page. You can now add AJAX load more to your posts and archives.
Infinite scroll or Load On Click
To add to the AJAX loading of more content, Elementor has added ‘infinite scroll’ and ‘load on click’ options. Personally, I don’t like infinite scroll because it prevents users from getting to your site footer where you might have additional links or information. I prefer Load On Click, and now that option is available as a new pagination type to load more content.
WooCommerce revamped Menu Cart widget
The new menu cart widget offers the possibility to open the cart automatically after the item is added so you can quickly pop up your cart summary at all times. They also added AJAX shopping cart functionality to prevent pages from loading again after removing a product from the cart. Another new feature is opening the menu cart by click or by hover.
There’s also a new floating mini cart. The Mini Cart can be added anywhere on your WooCommerce website. This will give your visitors the option to remove products and keep track of the subtotal and all in a more intuitive and nonintrusive way.
